KINDLY COMPLETE THE INTERNSHIP FORM

Ngong offers a unique experience volunteering in the heart of Kenya and offers many amazing extra curricular activities with views of the rift valley a short drive away!

Safety

Prior to arrival, we recommend interns register with their embassy, or after arrival at the local embassy located in Nairobi.  If an individual is not registered with their embassy, there is no way for your home country to help in case of emergency situations such as natural disasters or political uprising.

Travel Insurance

We also highly recommend travel insurance (which can be purchased through travel companies, banks, or extended health care providers prior to leaving your home country). There are a variety of hospitals and clinics located in and around the Ngong area. There are also 2 major hospitals within Nairobi for more serious injuries. Most travel insurance companies require the individual to pay for medical costs while in the country and reimburse you upon return and submission of claim – make sure to keep all your receipts for any costs incurred while traveling.

Vaccinations

The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention provides travelers with a great overview of vaccines and medications required or recommended for traveling to Kenya.
